The Australian Premiere of Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood’s ‘5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE’ presented by Imprint Theatricals has opened the new queer arts and culture festival MELT! at Brisbane Powerhouse with audiences and critics alike rolling in the aisles.
The play, which centres on a women’s society trapped in a fall out shelter when a nuclear bomb detonates in the midst of their annual quiche breakfast, originally premiered in Chicago, and was a hit Off-Broadway before Sean Bryan and Nathanael Cooper’s Australian production.
The strictly limited season stars Catherine Alcorn, Lauren Jackson, Samantha Turk, Ellen Bailey and Meg Clarke.
