Long Live The Queen!

Wednesday the 21st of November, 2012 marked the opening night for the new, Australian musical “Margaret Fulton: Queen Of The Dessert” at Theatre Works in St Kilda, with the culinary queen herself in attendance.

The musical written by Doug MacLeod and Yuri Worontschak and directed by Bryce Ives and Nate Gilkes explores many of the lesser known aspects of the life of Margaret Fulton, including roles that saw her breaking through the glass ceiling long before her famous cook book was published.

The company, audience members and the Fulton family continued the opening night festivities at Memo’s where stories were shared and the cast received personally signed cook books from Margaret.

The show’s limited season continues until December 1, 2012.
